Lighting is often one part of interior design that can be overlooked, some people see it as something that is just functional and don’t embrace lighting to be a design feature in its own right.

Thankfully the good old folks at Delightfull Unique Lamps don’t think this way, they put heart and passion into creating truly stunning pieces of art with their lighting collections.

…we focus on the best combination of high quality design and high quality craftsmanship. Our pieces not only illuminate interiors they also add strong design presence to a space with their unique forms – Delightfull’s Vision

I adore the work of Delightfull Unique Lamps, so when I was asked to take a look at their latest design project in Italy, it’s fair to say I jumped at the chance.

Deep in the heart of the Italian countryside sits a luxury residence designed by Ukrainian interior designers Vitaliy Yurov and Iryna Dzhemesiuk for Diff Studio.

The residence was designed with a combination of contemporary and classic styles whilst being sympathetic to the building’s history. The bespoke Intarsia Parquet flooring and vaulted ceilings of the property create space and light, which was key to the design.

The designers wanted to incorporate bold vivid colour throughout the property to create a dramatic visual impact.

Dzhemesiuk and Yurov turned to Delightfull Unique Lamps for the lighting options for the property. In the dining room, the golden tones of the Brubeck Suspension Light create real drama to the room. Inspired by a pipe organ, the suspension light is made from brass tubes and is available in several shapes and finishes such as gold and nickel.

In the living room, white textured mirrored walls are mixed with gold, creating a luxury but neutral base to the room. The grand traditional marble fireplace takes centre stage whilst turquoise contemporary sofas give a bold contrast, mixing the old with the new.

Delightfull’s Hanna Vintage floor and pendant lights fit perfectly within the room. The art deco design is made from noble marble and the five lampshades are hand-made in aluminum by artisans who “apply delicately an ancient technique called hand metal spinning”

The echoes of mid-century modern style are emphasised with the gold and white finish, complementing the luxury tones of the grand living room.

The property features a jaw dropping bathroom, not only showcasing Delightfull’s Brubeck wall lights, but products from their sister company, Maison Valentina’s Diamond bathroom collection.

The jewel inspired bath tub is finished in silver leaf with a translucent black high gloss varnish. Gold highlights echo the golden tones of the property and the two matching free-standing sinks also feature gold taps.

The black gloss bathroom suite against the white marble creates an eye-catching opulent bathroom. I fell in love with the opal effect feature wall, emphasising the designers vision of using neutrals combined with bright and vivid colours.

Delightfull’s other sister company, Boca do Lobo, provided the striking gold sideboard featured in the hallway of the property. The individual piece is finished in golf leaf and is a real statement within the property.

What the designers, Vitaliy Yurov and Iryna Dzhemesiuk have created is an ultra luxury residence and a real inspiration in interior design.

By featuring Delightfull Unique Lamps lighting along with several of their sister companies furniture pieces, it has enabled Diff Studio to create contemporary style with timeless design.
